Echuca Mini Training Day!!!

Sunday's training day mimicking the upcoming Echuca 50km Mini Marathon shows just how far we have come as a club. You know it was only last January Tony Bond and I submitted the Incorporation papers. Starting just using his OC6 we have grown so quickly. Our trailer plans are progressing, we have 3/4 of the new canoe fund (a brand new two piece Mirage), 17 paddles, 19 lifejackets. A swag of privately owned OC1's and OC2's. It is very exciting for the core group who have worked hard to raise money and provided support wherever it is needed. You know who you are, thanks heaps.

As of today we have 44 financial members, our "Upstream with a Paddle Project" is going gangbusters and we will field two relay OC6 teams at this years YMCA Murray Marathon. Thanks to all our wonderful juniors for turning up rain, hail or shine to training on Mondays. Our sport has so much to offer paddlers of all ages so phone a friend and recruit some more, bugger 50, lets make our next target 60 members!

Now you know what it's all about we will see you on the water for the Echuca Mini on 17th October, 2009.
