Inland Outrigger Canoe Club Inc.

The “Inland Outrigger Canoe Club Inc” is now affiliated with the Australian Outrigger Canoe Racing Association under the New South Wales Zone.

After Easter I will be working with AOCRA to have our club placed on the website so people can join. If you have friends out there who are not associated with a club and would like to join us please forward this email to them. I will create a mailing list of interested paddlers after Easter. There are lots of email addresses I do not have so get them off your mates and send them to me.

We will have a six man training program operating from Echuca. It will not be necessary for paddlers who do not reside in Echuca to train with us to be part of this program. If you have access to your own one man canoe or can train in a kayak etc we will ensure you get a ride at the events we attend.

I am particularly interested in recruiting paddlers who have a one man and want to race but find club membership too expensive. If you have your own canoe you can do your own thing and turn up to races and paddle as an Inland Outrigger member.

Membership: AOCRA fee ($65 at present) + $20 club fee (cover admin costs) = Total senior membership $85. That is the lowest membership fee in Australia.
Junior: AOCRA fee $35. There will be no club fee for juniors, our club is focused on junior participation.

Fundraising: If you can tap into any resource on our behalf please do so. I have several funding grant applications in the pipeline but to date it has been hard going and no one is giving any money away. I am selling chocolates at work just to pay the affiliation fees.
