Inland Outrigger Canoe Club Newsletter #2

INLAND OUTRIGGER CANOE CLUB NEWSLETTER # 2

Housekeeping for June, great to see so many paddlers on the water on Sunday morning. 17 in total!

Training.
Sundays Women 9am, Men 10.30am.

Tuesday Men 5.30pm.

Wednesday Womens training suspended for about six weeks due to cold weather and low attendance, see you Sunday’s.

Juniors: Junior training for all juniors (members of Inland Outrigger canoe club or Echuca/Moama canoe club).
After School Mondays.

Dry Dock and refurbishment of recently purchased OC6.
After training next Tuesday the OC6 will be taken to Vic Park boat ramp and transported by semi to my driveway where it will be made into a two piece canoe, process will take about three weeks. This is the reason for split sessions on Sundays as we will only have one six available.

Want to learn how to make a canoe and the art of fiberglass manufacture and repair.
We need to build a new channel master ama for the six so Tony and I will be teaching anyone that is interested the process and how to use fiberglass. Please ring Tony if you are interested. There is a lot of preparation needed and man-hours required so if you can spare some time after school or after work ring Tony and come around and give us a hand. The ama will be built in Tony’s shed. Tony and I will cut the canoe in my driveway. I will need a few spare hands on Wednesday and Thursday to clean and polish the six ready for sign writing!
Ring Tony on 54801940.
